About Barbie Hunt

Short bio

Barbie Hunt is a Christian artist, entrepreneur, and the founding director of Healing Rooms Kids, where she trains adults worldwide to lead kids' prayer teams. Her training manual has been translated into more than six languages. A lifelong Kentuckian, she has been married to Rush for more than fifty years and lives in Madisonville. Her book is Never Too Little to Pray.

Barbie Hunt, a lifelong Kentuckian, never planned to lead an international ministry. She's a Christian artist, entrepreneur, and trailblazer, and the founding director of Healing Rooms Kids and the HRK Leadership Academy Community, where she trains adults worldwide to nurture childlike faith through kids' prayer teams. Her training manual has been translated into more than six languages.

A business owner since the 1980s, Barbie has led statewide arts and education organizations and helped develop the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts and Mahr Park Arboretum in her hometown. She is the author of the upcoming Never Too Little to Pray. A wife, mother, and grandmother, Barbie has been married to Rush for more than fifty years. They live in Madisonville, Kentucky.
